Porter Wright elects six new partners

Porter Wright is proud to announce that six attorneys have been elected to partnership in the firm. The newly named partners are Ana Crawford, Jourdan Day, Devan Flahive, Ahmad Huda, Justin Joyce and Ryan Steele.

Ana Crawford
Cincinnati, Ohio
Litigation

Ana works with clients to resolve legal issues relating to contract disputes, product liability claims, employment issues and business competition matters. She also conducts internal investigations concerning allegations of corporate or individual misconduct. Ana has worked with privately-held companies as well as public institutions, healthcare providers and universities in a variety of litigation contexts. In addition, she is an active member of the firm’s Government and Regulatory Affairs group, with Capitol Hill experience. She is named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® and Ohio Super Lawyers, Rising Stars Edition. Jourdan Day

Jourdan defends discrimination and retaliation charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Jourdan also is a Level 2 Title IX Certified Investigator and assists with Title IX matters, including investigations where she conducts interviews, analyzes evidence presented by all parties and documents her findings for the client. She represents clients in labor negotiations and counsels regarding collective bargaining agreements, unfair labor practices and union avoidance matters. Devan Flahive

Devan concentrates her practice in energy and regulatory matters, as well as in antitrust and litigation. Her energy clients span the full length of the supply chain: from operators engaged in natural resource extraction and power generators to pipelines, transmission operators and retail natural gas/electricity suppliers. Devan has advised operators of natural gas gathering facilities and a gas-fired power plant in connection with pre-litigation strategy and resolution of disputes with FERC-regulated pipelines. She represents public utilities in proceedings before the Ohio Power Siting Board and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, and appellate litigation. Ahmad Huda

Ahmad has defended large and mid-sized companies in a variety of high-stakes disputes, including matters arising out of alleged breaches of purchase-and-sale agreements, license agreements and employment agreements. His experience also includes representing clients in matters involving eminent domain, product liability, insurance recovery and business torts. Ahmad has appeared in a variety of forums, including federal district courts and federal administrative agencies, as well as in arbitration forums. Ahmad also has an extensive appellate practice. Justin Joyce

Justin works in the areas of commercial litigation, reinsurance litigation, product liability, and advising startups and emerging businesses. He has significant experience litigating pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer product claims, including those related to anti-seizure medications and hormone replacement therapy. Justin also works extensively in the area of investment recovery to assist those defrauded in Ponzi schemes. He also has appellate experience in state and federal courts, and has successfully represented product manufacturers and suppliers in contractual disputes. Ryan Steele

Ryan handles corporate contractual matters to bring mergers, acquisitions, financing, energy and natural resources deals, startup operations and other general business transactions to fruition. He executes complex business contracts so that rapidly growing companies, business owners and early stage entrepreneurs can cost-effectively achieve growth goals. Ryan also drafts and negotiates a myriad of contracts to help close multi-layered transactions, including architect/contractor agreements, business and commercial agreements, retail leases and general real estate agreements, and purchase/sale agreements. Ryan is named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America®.
