Litigation Associate

Porter Wright has an opportunity for a Litigation Associate in the Columbus, Ohio office.

Qualifications include:

  • Two to six years of experience in complex commercial litigation, product liability or personal injury litigation
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Trial experience is a bonus but not required
  • Must be admitted to the practice of law in the state of Ohio

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated the following attributes:

  • Experience to independently draft pleadings, motion papers, discovery requests, settlement agreements and other standard documents

  • Ability to engage in internal and external relationship building

Intellectual Property Associate

Porter Wright has an opportunity for an Intellectual Property Associate in any of our nine offices (Chicago, IL; Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati or Dayton, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Washington, DC; Tampa or Naples, FL).

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts
  • Design patent preparation and prosecution
  • Trademark preparation and prosecution, including inter parte action
  • IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions
  • IP litigation support
  • IP licensing

Qualifications include:

  • Two to five years of experience in intellectual property
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • JD from an accredited law school
