New senior associates announced at Porter Wright

Porter Wright is pleased to announce that three attorneys have been elevated to senior associate status at the firm. These attorneys include McDaniel Kelly, Sara Schiavone and Sarah Squillante.

McDaniel Kelly
Cleveland, Ohio
Litigation

Mac’s practice is focused on commercial and tort litigation. His most recent work has centered on breach of contract and commercial real estate issues flowing from COVID-19’s market disruptions. Mac also dedicates a significant portion of his practice to defending transportation/delivery companies, retailers and products manufacturers in lawsuits involving serious injuries. He also has experience with banking and probate matters. Mac is a member of the William K. Thomas Inn of Court and volunteers with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s 3Rs program. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Mac worked as an appellate staff attorney for the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and law clerk for Magistrate Judge Thomas M. Parker at the Norther District of Ohio. He received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, magna cum laude, and his B.A. from Denison University.
  

Sara Schiavone
Columbus, Ohio
Litigation

Sara focuses her litigation practice primarily on tort litigation, with an emphasis on product liability, wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. She also has experience with litigation involving construction defects, commercial disputes and real estate, and e-discovery matters. Sara serves as co-chair of the Membership Engagement Subcommittee of DRI’s Young Lawyers Committee and as the chair of the Welcoming Committee of DRI’s Product Liability Committee.  She is named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® and Ohio Super Lawyers, Rising Stars Edition. Sara received her law degree from Capital University Law School, summa cum laude, and her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, summa cum laude.
  

Sarah Squillante

Sarah advises employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation, including claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Family and Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She helps clients with best practices regarding employee handbooks, discipline and termination, leaves, and wage and hour issues, and she also counsels employers with respect to traditional labor matters, including union avoidance, collective bargaining agreements and labor negotiations. Sarah is a member of the Ohio State and American Bar Associations. She received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Michigan.
