Overview

Mac focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. His prior work with the federal courts allows him to share a unique perspective with each of his clients.

Prior to joining Porter Wright, Mac served as a senior law clerk for the Honorable Thomas M. Parker in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. While there, Mac worked closely with the judge to mediate disputes and help resolve cases before trial. In addition to managing the chamber’s case load to ensure timely disposition of all matters, Mac also worked with counsel and parties to help resolve many of the procedural and other issues that arise in the course of litigation.

Additionally, as a staff attorney in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Mac drafted opinions on a range of matters, including consumer protection, securities, health care fraud, employment discrimination, civil rights and immigration. A critical part of Mac’s job in this role was carefully analyzing cases to determine whether oral argument was necessary and to help panel judges prepare for any issues that needed to be resolved at oral argument.
