Devan Flahive named co-chair of Utility Regulation and Power Siting Practice Group
Porter Wright is pleased to announce that partner Devan Flahive has been named a co-chair of the firm’s Utility Regulation and Power Siting Practice Group. Devan will serve as co-chair alongside partners Eric Gallon and Brad Hughes.

For nearly a decade, Devan has served energy clients both as a litigator and as regulatory counsel. She advises public utilities, FERC-regulated entities, and developers of green/renewable projects within the state of Ohio on matters relating to infrastructure siting approvals and regulatory compliance. Devan has experience litigating contested proceedings before the Ohio Power Siting Board and before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Complementing that work, she serves as FERC counsel for clients, petitioning for Federal Power Act authorizations and waiver of substantive filing requirements, counseling on jurisdictional considerations, and advising on state regulatory obligations.
Devan is a member of The Energy Bar Association, the Marcellus Shale Coalition, the Institute for Energy Law, the Gas & Oil Association of West Virginia and the Ohio Oil & Gas Association. She is named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® and Ohio Super Lawyers, Rising Stars Edition. Devan received her J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and her B.S., cum laude, from Cornell University.
