The Rise of Pay Transparency Laws and Recent Wage and Hour Developments
Pay transparency laws have been on the rise. Fred and Sarah will discuss the implications of these laws across the United States (including Ohio), as well as other recent wage and hour developments, such as the NLRB’s proposed new joint-employer rule and the DOL’s overtime proposal. Our attorneys will provide an overview on how all of these evolving laws may affect your workplace moving forward.

Form I-9: No Detail is Too Small When it Comes to Employer Compliance
Form I-9 is complex. Rob and Laura will walk you through the responsibilities employers have - and how to avoid penalties by paying close attention to the details. They will also discuss the impact of telework, employer leave policies and overview the E-Verify interface.

Mental Health in the Workplace: The Impact of COVID-19 and Remote Work on the Work Force
The pandemic and remote work has brought mental health to the forefront of many employers' attention. This panel discussion will explore trends seen by mental health professionals treating the “new normal” workforce. They will also cover isolation and its impact on mental health, effective and ineffective trends employers are putting in place and how to care for employees’ mental health.

What do you do if an employee ghosts you? Are they entitled to unemployment benefits or other considerations? Chris will explore these implications, pros and cons of pre-litigation mediation, along with recent case law.
