Ohio Appellate Insights blog shares best practices for successful court appeals

Porter Wright’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice Group is proud to announce it has launched its blog, Ohio Appellate Insights. The blog focuses content on practice pointers, tips, best practices and strategic thinking guides on how to maximize outcomes within Ohio appellate courts. The blog is easy to find for quick reference at ohioappeals.com.

“The appellate process, from start to finish, can feel very daunting,” shared Ohio Appellate Insights editor and Porter Wright partner, Terry Posey, who is one of Ohio’s few specialists in appellate practice certified by the Ohio State Bar Association. “Our goal is to help litigators, in-house counsel and business owners involved in an appeal to gain a greater understanding of the intricacies and rules of the Ohio appellate process.”

Posey serves as contributor and editor alongside Porter Wright Appellate and Supreme Court Practice Group chair and partner, Brad Hughes. Together, they have begun to share content focusing on plurality decisions, oral arguments, pleading standards, retroactive laws, and other timely topics to help attorneys and business leaders position themselves for the most successful outcome possible when facing the prospect of an appeal.

“There are both opportunities and potential pitfalls when it comes to an appeal,” said Hughes. “We are happy to share our trial consulting and appellate experience on our blog and serve as a reliable resource when it comes to navigating the challenging appellate process.”
