Bankruptcy/Workout team joins Porter Wright's Cleveland office

Porter Wright has added three new attorneys to its Cleveland office in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Creditor’s Rights practice group. Matthew Matheney and Nathaniel Sinn joined Porter Wright as partners, while Heather Heberlein is a senior associate. All three joined Porter Wright from Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs LLC.

Matt was the chair of the Creditor’s Rights and Bankruptcy group at his former firm. His litigation practice covers a variety of business disputes, with an emphasis on bankruptcy-related matters including workouts, receiverships and foreclosures. He also provides general corporate advice to his clients on a range of legal issues, including breach of contract, claims of fraud, terms and conditions for sale, warranties, purchase orders and other commercial contracts. Matt earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and his B.A. from the College of Wooster. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

Nate is a seasoned litigator with experience includes handling a variety of creditor’s issues and commercial collection matters, as well as bankruptcy and foreclosures, including receiverships. He also guides clients through commercial disputes in construction, real property and contracts. Nate earned an LL.M. in Real Estate Law from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and a J.D. from Indiana University Mauer School of Law. He earned a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame.

Heather works with creditors, debtors and financial institutions and has built a successful practice by working alongside clients to resolve complex legal matters. Her work includes commercial transactions centered on collections, receiverships, foreclosures, reorganizations, restructurings and workouts, along with corporate and real estate transactions. Heather earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Dayton.
