Two partners welcomed in firm’s Pittsburgh office

Porter Wright welcomed two partners to its growing Pittsburgh office. Kristen Del Sole and Charles Pegher joined Porter Wright from K&L Gates.

“Our office is excited to welcome these two well-known and skilled partners to our growing team,” said Tim Gallagher, partner-in-charge. “We are so pleased to expand into additional practice areas and continue to best serve both new and existing clients in Western Pennsylvania and beyond.”

Kristen M. Del Sole joins the firm’s Litigation Department. She brings more than 20 years of experience in both federal and state courts focused on probate, estate and trust litigation. Additionally, Kristen has extensive general litigation, product liability and toxic tort experience. She frequently serves as counsel to nonprofits, health care providers, corporate fiduciaries and individual trustees and executors. She has extensive experience in will contests, estate settlement matters, estate litigation, accountings, guardianship matters, trust administration and representing corporate and private beneficiaries and fiduciaries in various matters. She has also worked with clients in estate planning to protect and preserve personal wealth.

Kristen has served as chair of the Board of Directors for Every Child Inc., where she also served as chair of the Research and Development Committee. She earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and her B.A. from Fairfield University in Connecticut.

Charles F. Pegher joined the firm’s Corporate Department in the Tax, Estate Planning and Personal Wealth group. Chuck focuses his practice in trust and estate administration, litigation and estate planning, providing clients with strategies to protect and preserve their personal wealth. During his career, Chuck has negotiated favorable settlements for his clients in gift and estate tax audits by the Internal Revenue Service and appeals from decisions of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Chuck provides counsel regarding estate settlement, guardianship proceedings and trust and estate accountings. He also works with clients to minimize gift and estate taxes and fiduciary income taxes. His probate litigation experience includes will contests, accountings and representation of both beneficiaries and fiduciaries in various estate matters.

Chuck was recognized by Best Lawyers® in the area of trusts and estates in 2020 and 2021 and as a 2020 Lawyer of Distinction. He serves on the Board of Directors of Residential Care Services. He earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
