Turnbull named partner-in-charge of Cleveland office
Porter Wright is proud to announce Tracey Turnbull as the new partner-in-charge of the Cleveland office. Tracey focuses her practice on commercial and employment litigation matters and serves as chair of Porter Wright’s Class Action practice group.
“Tracey has provided incredible leadership as a member of our firm’s Directing Partners Committee, chair of our Class Action Practice Group, and in the industry with her work with the Cleveland Metro Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and Ohio Women’s Bar Association,” said Managing Partner Robert Tannous. ”Her leadership experience in our firm and the legal community will be a great asset to managing and growing our Cleveland Office.”
Hugh McKay is stepping down as partner-in-charge but will continue to be a key member of the firm’s Cleveland team. He will continue to work with corporate clients and financial institutions in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
“I thank Hugh for his years of service in his role as partner-in-charge in the Cleveland office. I know will be a resource for Tracey as she assumes this role,” Tannous said.
Tracey has represented corporations and individuals in cases involving contracts, covenants not to compete, trade secret, intellectual property and product liability claims in state and federal courts. She also defends employers in employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims .
Tracey has been recognized for her professional work by Ohio Super Lawyers®, including its Top 25 Women in Cleveland and Top 50 Women in Ohio in 2020, and in Crain’s Cleveland “Forty Under 40.” She has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Commercial Litigation.
She is involved in the Cleveland community including as a Board and committee member at “Towards Employment,” a non-profit organization that focuses on connecting people with career pathways.
Tracey earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of law cum laude and her B.A. from Hamilton College with honors.
