Former federal prosecutor joins Porter Wright’s white collar team in Chicago
Porter Wright is proud to welcome former federal prosecutor Maureen Merin as a member of the firm’s litigation team in the Chicago market. Maureen previously served as Assistant U.S. Attorney and Deputy Chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

Over the past two decades, Maureen has tried over 15 criminal cases to verdict. She has led high-stakes litigation and investigated and prosecuted complex criminal matters, including money laundering, tax fraud, healthcare and insurance fraud, bribery, embezzlement, export violations, labor trafficking, child exploitation and violent crimes.
Maureen earned her J.D., with honors, from University of Chicago Law School, an M.A. from University of Mississippi and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Williams College.
