Karim Ali announced as new member of Columbus Women’s Commission
Porter Wright is pleased to announce partner Karim Ali has joined as a member of the Columbus Women’s Commission. The office of Mayor Andrew J. Ginther announced the appointment of several new members of the Commission, which was was launched in 2017 and works to dismantle barriers and reduce gender based-inequities to improve the economic position of women in our community.
In the release from the City of Columbus, Mayor Ginther said this about the new commission members:
“Our residents continue to show an overwhelming desire to partner in this important work. Now with 25 commissioners representing an array of backgrounds and specialties, the Columbus Women’s Commission continues to stay well positioned to recommend solutions, build partnerships and be advocates to create change for women.”
Ali is a corporate transactional attorney at Porter Wright and also serves as Partner in Charge of Professional Personnel and Diversity & Inclusion. In 2018, he partnered with other firm leaders to commit Porter Wright to “The Columbus Commitment: Achieving Pay Equality,” a voluntary pay equity commitment spearheaded created by the Columbus Women’s Commission.
