Okun receives Robert Sill Leadership Award from ORT America

Porter Wright is proud to announce that Jill Okun, a litigation partner, has been honored with The Robert Sill Leadership Award by the Cleveland Chapter of ORT America. This honor is reserved for a Clevelander who has a passion for ORT’s mission, the global Jewish community and Israel, and an interest in education leading to economic independence.

“Our firm and its litigation team are very proud of Jill’s commitment to leadership, education and training through ORT America,” shared Jim Curphey, partner and chair of Porter Wright’s Litigation Department. “This honor highlights Jill’s dedication to and passion for not only her local Cleveland community, but also the greater global community.”

The Robert Sill Leadership Award was created to honor Robert Sill, a founding member of the Cleveland Chapter of ORT America. He traveled to ORT schools and programs around the world to meet with the teachers, students and families the organization served. Recipients of the award are honored with the opportunity to travel with ORT, visit ORT programs, and gain a deeper understanding and passion for the organizations' work around the globe.

Okun will receive The Robert Sill Leadership Award at the Ohio Region of ORT America’s Annual Dinner on Oct. 28 in Beachwood, Ohio. The Ohio Region of ORT America, which has established chapters across the state over the past 60 years, has combined the efforts and initiatives of the men and women in the state to become a united voice in Jewish philanthropy in support of ORT schools and programs throughout the world.
