Porter Wright attorney Judd Kessler was named the highest level ranking among the top arbitrators from the United States for international arbitration in 2020 Chambers Global. This year’s honor for Kessler, whose practice is international in scope, marks the eighth year in a row he has garnered this spot among a select number of attorneys nationwide.

Kessler’s practice is based in Porter Wright’s Washington, D.C., office, where he has been a partner since 1982. Well regarded for his depth of knowledge in the Latin American market, Kessler also has substantial experience in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. As a leading international arbitrator, he draws on experience as private counsel and senior government counsel in international investment, infrastructure, energy and service projects, and political risk insurance contracts. His fluency in Spanish allows him to conduct arbitration proceedings in Spanish when needed.

Kessler has also become a leading international arbitrator in cases involving foreign investment, having served as president of several major arbitration tribunals, as well as an important resource for the Porter Wright litigation/arbitration team in representing major clients in international arbitration cases.
