Timothy focuses his practice on banking & finance and real estate, primarily focusing on commercial lending. Tim’s practice includes examining and preparing various forms of lending documents. He also has experience advising large financial institutions on title ownership matters.

Prior to joining Porter Wright, Timothy worked as a petroleum land manager, counseling many clients in the Utica Shale Play. He served as team lead for various groups of other land managers throughout Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. His teams executed intricate due diligence inquiries for the acquisition of leasehold and real estate holdings. They also performed sophisticated title analysis, helping to mitigate financial and legal risks to his clients. Timothy regularly negotiated oil and gas leases with private land owners across the Ohio Valley region and also with public entities on state-owned land.

Timothy also started his own company, which focused on complex title matters and assisting in the preparation of drilling title opinions (DTOs). Here he gained experience helping clients lease, acquire and trade various leasehold assets.
