Teri is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. Known for her strategic approach, creative problem-solving and commitment to client advocacy, she practices across diverse and high-stakes legal environments.

Teri has over 25 years of experience handling complex, high-stakes commercial litigation. She has obtained favorable outcomes for clients in federal and state courts throughout the country and in commercial arbitrations and mediations.

Her litigation and counseling experience spans a wide range of complex legal matters, including hospitality litigation, partnership disputes, business torts, fiduciary duty cases, intellectual property litigation, insurance litigation, toxic tort litigation, commercial contract disputes, internal investigations, and investigations and enforcement actions under the Federal Trade Commission Act. 

Teri has worked extensively with owners of luxury hotels, resorts and clubs on matters involving leasing, management and employment disputes.

She has also worked on numerous significant pro bono matters including a death penalty appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court, a political asylum appeal, a bench trial on a divorce/order of protection case for a female victim of domestic violence and several Section 1983 cases.

Prior to joining Porter Wright, Teri was a partner at a commercial litigation boutique in Chicago, served as a civil prosecutor for the Federal Trade Commission, and practiced at a leading global law firm. Teri also spent two years clerking for the Hon. Martin C. Ashman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
