Overview

Mitchell represents commercial clients in a broad array of disputes, with an emphasis on real estate and construction matters. He devotes a significant portion of his practice to eminent domain and condemnation law, with more than a decade of experience representing public utilities and municipalities in Indiana and Ohio. From preparing various deeds and easements, to presenting at stakeholder meetings, negotiating advantageous settlements and serving as trial attorney for necessity challenges and damage trials – Mitchell provides experienced counsel for every facet of a public project.

His litigation experience extends to various other matters involving sophisticated contracts, leases, commercial developments, collections and non-competes - to name a few. He has also handled a broad spectrum of legal issues on behalf of prominent insurance companies and self-insured corporations.

Mitchell also provides effective legal counsel for corporations and municipalities of all sizes on a wide range of matters including ordinance/policy review, leases, zoning regulations, franchising, vendor contracts and compliance with complex federal and state regulations such as HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA and the ADA.
