Overview

Mitchell is a senior associate in the Litigation Department, focusing his practice on construction. He has served as full-service commercial general counsel to numerous businesses, advising on a wide range of matters including litigation, collections, employment issues, vendor contracts, buy/sell agreements and leases. Mitchell has also provided counsel on franchising and drafted registration documents for business expansion.

A seasoned negotiator and litigator, Mitchell served as first chair on a municipal eminent domain case worth more than $4 million. He regularly provides in-depth legal analysis to businesses, ensuring compliance with key regulations such as HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA, while advising on best practices for hiring, firing and internal policies.

In his insurance defense practice, he has handled a broad spectrum of legal issues, including real estate, consumer transactions, construction and personal injury.

Additionally, Mitchell drafts complex estate planning documents and implements policies, personnel manuals and financial controls for businesses.
