Michalea leverages her diverse experience in private practice, as in-house counsel at a major university and in chambers to advise and represent clients in a wide range of labor and employment matters, with a special focus on the intersection between traditional employment questions and employee benefits. She has significant experience counseling both employers on federal and state laws affecting equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, employee benefits, and more.

Before joining Poter Wright, Michalea clerked for Chief District Judge Sarah D. Morrison and Magistrate Judge Chelsey M. Vascura, where she played a central role in chambers operations and case adjudication.

Michalea has also served as an adjunct lecturer at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she has taught Depositions and Employment Discrimination courses.
