Tony McClure named to STARability Foundation board

Porter Wright is proud to announce that Tony McClure, a partner in the firm’s Naples office, has been named as a director on the board of the STARability Foundation. STARability supports people with disabilities by providing life-transforming opportunities that emphasize teamwork, connection to the community to build awareness, and respect for individual abilities.

“It is an honor to be asked to serve on the STARability Foundation board,” shares Tony. “The organization continues to create a significant and lasting impact throughout our Naples community by cultivating life-changing programs and services for our STAR participants.”

In serving on the board for the STARability Foundation, Tony will work alongside other volunteer leaders to promote the mission, vision and values of the organization. Its mission—to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities through social, vocational and educational connections to the community, while strengthening awareness and respect for individual abilities—is an important one to Tony and his family, as his son lives with global apraxia and autism.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tony to our board of directors,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “His expertise and diverse background will be valuable to helping our organization fulfill its mission as we continue to grow our programs and services.”

During his term with the STARability Foundation, Tony looks forward to helping the organization continue to grow through even more engaging programs and initiatives. An increased demand for STARability programming has led to recent expansions, including new life enrichment classes, recreational activities and new product lines at the Star Store & Studio.
