Section 301 duty exclusions announced

On June 4, 2019, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative will announce another round of product exclusions associated with the first set or tranche of Chinese-origin products on which USTR imposed 25 percent duties. The value of the products on which the duties were originally imposed approximated $34 billion. A list of the excluded products is set forth at the end of the Notice. These exclusions will be in effect for one year beginning with the June 4, 2019, publication of the Notice in the Federal Register. A U.S. importer may avail itself of the exclusions notwithstanding that it was not the person or entity requesting the exclusion. The unpublished version of the Notice can be found here.
