Porter Wright welcomes Matthew Linsky in Tampa

Porter Wright welcomes Matthew Linsky as an associate in the Litigation Department. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate and fiduciary matters. A third generation Tampanian, Matthew hails from a family of attorneys with a variety of practices throughout the Tampa Bay area. Drawing on his familial and professional influences, Matthew is a passionate and detailed advocate with successful dispositive motion, jury trial and appellate experience.

While in law school, Matthew externed for the Chief Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit and was later hired by the court to assist multiple judges in managing their civil dockets. He also clerked for the managing partner emeritus of the Tallahassee office of a large national firm, where he assisted in a successful Eleventh Circuit appeal addressing the scope and application of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act’s commercial activity exception, a subject on which he was subsequently published in the Journal of Transactional Law and Policy.

Matthew holds a law degree from Florida State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University.
