Porter Wright adds Samantha Jacobsen to Tampa litigation team
Porter Wright is pleased to announce that Samantha Jacobsen has joined the firm as an associate in Tampa, where she will counsel clients as a member of the Litigation Department.
“Adding Samantha reflects the momentum we continue to build across the Tampa Bay market,” said Larry Ingram, partner-in-charge in Tampa. “Her practical judgment and confidence in the courtroom strengthen the service we provide to clients confronting challenging disputes.”
Samantha previously served as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, overseeing more than 600 misdemeanor matters from arraignment through trial and appearing in court to present motions and try cases. Earlier, she interned for the Honorable Paul Huey, researching construction and personal injury disputes and preparing memoranda to support the court’s work.
In the Tampa Bay community, Samantha serves as a mentor for Think Big for Kids, a board member for True North Society and a member of Junior League of Tampa. She is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers. Samantha earned her J.D. from Louisiana State University Law Center and a B.S. from Florida State University.
