Josh Dille receives NIJC Rising Stars Award

Porter Wright is proud to announce that attorney Josh Dille will be honored with a 2023 National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) Rising Star Award. Josh is being recognized for advancing access to justice and his generosity in providing high-quality pro bono service to NIJC clients.

Each year, NIJC hosts the Human Rights Awards to honor individuals who have made outstanding achievements to promote, protect and advance human rights throughout the world. Josh is being honored for his pro bono legal work as part of the Porter Wright Chicago team that won a significant victory obtaining asylum for a family of Nigerian refugees seeking protection from abduction, abuse and genital mutilation.

“The bravery and resilience of our clients in the face of severe hardship was truly inspiring to myself and my team,” Josh said.

“This is a well-deserved honor,” shared Bob Hermes, partner-in-charge of Porter Wright’s Chicago office. “All of us who worked closely with Josh on this case are extremely proud of his hard work and dedication to obtaining the best result possible for the family.”

Josh will be honored at the 24th Annual Human Rights Award luncheon on Tuesday, June 6, at 12 p.m. at the Hilton Chicago. The Human Rights Awards is NIJC’s signature fundraising event and ensures that immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers can continue to access justice through NIJC’s services.
