Overview
Josh represents clients in complex litigation and arbitration. He handles disputes of all kinds, with an emphasis on contract, insurance, antitrust and class-action litigation. He has experience in all major aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings and pretrial motions, conducting factual investigations and discovery, and handling jury trial and appellate work. In addition to his litigation experience, Josh represents clients in reinsurance disputes and in conducting internal corporate investigations.
Josh works with his clients to identify and achieve the best outcome for their dispute, whether through a negotiated resolution or by representing clients in state and federal courts or in arbitration proceedings. Josh takes a team-centered approach that integrates Porter Wright’s multi-disciplinary bench to efficiently meet each client’s unique goals. Josh has also worked in-house in the transportation industry on a variety of legal and compliance issues, allowing him to anticipate and prioritize the needs of his clients’ business.
Josh maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients seeking asylum in the United States. He is also active in the legal community, serving on the NIJC Associate Leadership Council and writing and presenting on topics related to reinsurance arbitrations.
Before joining the firm, Josh clerked for Judge Stephen R. Clark in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
