Attorneys Tami Kirby and Mike Reed published an article in the Cincinnati Business Courier titled, "Important change impacts buyers, sellers and borrowers in real estate industry."
The article discusses new legislation which creates a safer environment for buyers and sellers of real estate in Ohio. The new law generally prohibits title companies and escrow or closing agents, from disbursing funds unless the funds have been deposited electronically into the closing agent’s escrow account in the form of immediately available funds.
