Associate added in Chicago office

Porter Wright is proud to welcome a new associate to the firm’s Chicago office. Bide B. Akande focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He has experience litigating commercial matters arising out of construction disputes, real estate foreclosures, employee non-compete agreements, and general breach of contract claims. He has also assisted clients in arbitrating various matters.

Prior to joining private practice, Bide was an intern with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in Maywood, Illinois. He is involved in pro bono work with the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, is a Big Brother for the Big Brother Big Sister program, and a performer with The Second City in Chicago.

Bide earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, magna cum laude, and his B.A. from the University of Illinois.

His hiring brings the total number of attorneys based in Porter Wright’s Chicago office to 18.
