Alaimo appointed to second leadership position at Porter Wright

Porter Wright is proud to announce partner Marve Ann Alaimo has been appointed co-chair of the firm’s Trust, Estate Planning and Personal Wealth Practice Group. Alaimo also continues to serve as co-chair of the firm’s Probate, Trust and Guardianship Litigation Practice Group. 

Alaimo, who practices in the firm’s Naples, Florida office, focuses her practice in estate planning and wealth preservation. She has more than 20 years of experience in estate and charitable gift planning, probate and trust administration as well as estate and trust litigation and guardianship. She focuses on conflict avoidance and cooperative problem solving as foundational elements of an estate plan, as family dynamics can often complicate an already stressful time. In addition to representing private clients, Marve Ann has also represented local, regional and national charities, nonprofits, and both private and public universities in shepherding their charitable gifts.

Alaimo is a frequent lecturer on a number of estate planning and probate litigation topics at various national and regional conferences including ENGAGE!, the annual conference of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is regularly interviewed and has been quoted in articles published by multiple news outlets including CNBC.

Marve Ann was named a Top Lawyer in 2019 by Naples Illustrated, is ranked a Five Star Wealth Manager by Gulfshore Life and is recognized annually by Florida Super Lawyers®. Marve Ann is a Florida Bar Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estates lawyer and has served as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. She earned her LL.M from the University of Miami School of Law, her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Extremely involved in the community, Marve Ann will be inducted as Vice President of the National Kidney Foundation of Florida in July 2020, and is actively involved with the Pi Mu Chapter of Chi Omega Fraternity as well as Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida.
