Overview

Jacey is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department, where she focuses on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, sports law, securities offerings, state and federal securities law compliance and reporting obligations and contract review. She works with clients in a range of industries including technology, entertainment, fashion, manufacturing and insurance.

She devotes a significant portion of her practice to representing professional athletes and entertainers, assisting them with entity formation, general corporate matters and agreements.

Prior to joining Porter Wright, Jacey gained experience in both sports and finance through internships with Wasserman Group, Excalibur Sports Group, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Coca-Cola Company and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Jacey has worked on a wide range of legal matters, including drafting agreements for professional and collegiate athletes, filing trademark applications, revising estate plans, preparing securities arbitration claims and assisting in the representation of Major League Baseball teams in salary arbitration hearings.

During law school, Jacey was a student clinician in University of Miami School of Law’s Investor Rights Clinic and held several leadership roles, including President of the Technology Law Club, Speaker of the Student Bar Association Senate and Graduate Assistant for Miami Law’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law program.
