Overview
Helen is an associate with a strong foundation in litigation and regulatory law gained through hands-on experience in both judicial and private settings. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, where she assisted in drafting opinions and orders, conducted in-depth legal research and prepared the Judge for a wide range of civil and criminal proceedings.
Before her clerkship, Helen was an associate, where she drafted pleadings and dispositive motions in state and federal courts, managed written discovery and assisted clients facing federal, state and regulatory investigations.
In addition, she gained trial-level prosecutorial experience in Mayor’s Court for a local municipality, where she prosecuted violations of municipal ordinances, assaults and traffic offenses.
While in law school, Helen externed for the Honorable Sarah D. Morrison of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, served as an editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and earned her master’s degree in public affairs alongside her law degree.
