Porter Wright welcomes Matthew Stowe in Columbus
Porter Wright is pleased to announce attorney Matt Stowe has joined the Litigation Department in Columbus. His practice will focus on white collar defense, government affairs, appellate litigation, and general civil litigation.
“Matt brings impressive experience to the firm, having served in both private and public practice roles for almost 30 years, from Washington, D.C., to Texas to Tennessee,” said Jim King, chair of the firm’s Litigation Department.
He has worked with litigation clients at large law firms in Washington, D.C., and Texas, and represented the state of Texas as Deputy Solicitor General and most recently the state of Tennessee as District Attorney. After law school, Matt clerked for Justice Sandra Day O’Connor of the United States Supreme Court and earlier for Judge J. Michael Luttig of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Matt received his law degree magna cum laude from Harvard Law School where he was a member of the Harvard Law Review. He received his B.A./B.S. summa cum laude from Dartmouth College.
