2022 Keynote: Putting a Stop to Women’s Dead-End Work

On average, women with established careers in professional services put in 200+ more hours annually of “non-promotable work” than their male counterparts. But it doesn't have to be this way.

How can women be empowered to make savvy decisions about the work they take on — and the work they decline? This year's keynote will spark conversation about how women can advance their careers and achieve equity in the 21st century.

Each attendee will receive a copy of The No Club at the event.

Keynote speaker Laurie Weingart is co-author of The No Club, a newly-released book that offers hard data, personal anecdotes and innovative advice to unburden women’s careers from work that goes unrewarded. Laurie is an organizational behaviorist, researcher, speaker and professor who studies team collaboration, conflict and negotiation, with a focus on how differences across people help and hinder effective problem solving and dispute resolution.

Porter Wright's Women in Reinsurance program is a complimentary, invitation-only forum for influential women from all segments of the reinsurance and insurance industries. It is aimed at providing women with all the tools for advancing within organizations and on arbitration panels.
