Financing the ESOP Transaction

Greg presented "Financing the ESOP Transaction," at the 4th annual Great Lakes Regional ESOP Conference along with Ted Lape of Lazear Capital Partners and Kevin Ward of The Huntington National Bank. The session provided an overview of leveraged ESOP transactions and explained how these transactions may be structured in a prudent manner to accomplish the goals of the sellers, company, ESOP participants and senior lender. They also explained how basic credit principles help determine the structure of a transaction and how to avoid obstacles to obtaining financing.
