Overview
Eric is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in complex legal matters, including breach of contract, IP litigation, insurance coverage, employment disputes, fiduciary duty claims and appellate work. Eric is known for his strategic approach and strong advocacy across industries such as transportation, real estate development and hospitality.
Eric has successfully handled cases in federal and state courts, including a landmark first-in-the-nation preemption ruling in favor of a global transportation logistics provider. He has also played a key role in developing practice areas in transportation and logistics, hotel and hospitality, antitrust compliance and commercial foreclosure.
Prior to joining Porter Wright, Eric was a partner at a commercial litigation boutique in Chicago concentrating his practice in complex business litigation and dispute resolution. Eric also served as a law clerk for Judge Robert W. Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
