Diana Jia named chair of Greater Columbus Chinese Chamber of Commerce

Porter Wright is proud to announce that attorney Diana Lingyu Jia has been elected to serve as chair of the Greater Columbus Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Diana has served on the Chinese Chamber’s Board of Directors since 2019.

“We are extremely proud of Diana for this significant accomplishment in the Central Ohio community,” shared Bob Tannous, managing partner of Porter Wright. “Diana has dedicated much time and service to the Chinese Chamber, and she truly values and is proud to represent the organization, its mission and its members.”

“I’m humbled and honored to be chosen by my peers to serve in this new leadership role with the Chinese Chamber,” shared Diana. “I look forward to continuing to serve the mission of the Chinese Chamber and grow meaningful connections between professionals and businesses in Central Ohio and China.”

As a native Mandarin speaker, Diana brings a unique understanding of Chinese law to her practice. As a corporate attorney, she counsels clients on a range of matters, including entity formation and structuring, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, risk management and dispute resolution.

Diana first became involved with the Chinese Chamber in 2018 when a mentor encouraged her to join. The first event she attended was co-hosted by Porter Wright. “At the time, I only knew the firm by reputation. At the event, I met the first of many Porter Wright lawyers. Shortly thereafter, I joined the firm. And within a year, the Chinese Chamber appointed me as a board member. Looking back, it was serendipitous how things unfolded.”

The mission of the Greater Columbus Chinese Chamber of Commerce is to promote, support and foster business, education and cultural relationships in the Central Ohio community with local American businesses that are doing business with China; local Chinese-American business; and Chinese companies interested in investing in Central Ohio.
