Overview
David is an associate in the Litigation Department, where he contributes to the firm’s litigation practice with a strong foundation in legal research, writing and case preparation. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as a summer associate at Porter Wright, where he researched and analyzed complex legal issues across a broad range of practice areas and drafted a variety of legal documents, including internal memoranda and discovery requests. He also supported the firm’s pro bono efforts by meeting directly with clients and providing research and guidance on their legal questions.
David previously served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In that role, he drafted proposed judicial orders involving immigration and trademark matters, prepared internal memoranda addressing targeted legal research questions, and gained firsthand exposure to federal litigation by observing criminal and civil proceedings and trials.
Serving also as a prosecution support specialist in the State Attorney’s Office of the Fourth Judicial Circuit, David took on significant responsibilities supporting the office’s prosecution and administrative functions. He managed 36 interns across the office’s spring, summer, and fall internship programs, conducted gang investigations for the Targeted Prosecution Division, and drafted legal briefs and policy recommendations for the Public Records Division.
