Barrett is a senior associate in the firm’s Corporate Department with a wealth of experience in the areas of real estate, banking and finance.

His practice focuses on managing commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, construction and related due diligence matters.

Barrett represents a variety of clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including commercial real estate companies and developers, real estate investment trusts (REITs), private equity funds, Fortune 500 companies, banks, other lenders and communications infrastructure companies.

In connection with real estate transactions, Barrett drafts and negotiates a wide variety of agreements and documents related to purchases and sales, leases, and construction projects. In addition, his work encompasses extensive title, survey, and zoning review, as well as related curative actions. Barrett also drafts and negotiates a broad range of finance-related documents for real estate projects throughout the country, including traditional commercial projects and projects utilizing bonds or tax credit financing mechanisms.

Barrett’s expertise also extends to construction contracts, commercial sales agreements and real estate litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he gained significant experience handling complex transactions and legal matters at both an AmLaw 200 law firm and a Fortune 200 company.
