Tracy Francis named to Crain’s Cleveland Business ‘Forty under 40’

Tracy Francis, a partner in the firm's Litigation Department, has been selected as a Crain's Cleveland Business 2019 "Forty Under 40" honoree. Crain's Cleveland Business honors 40 of the community's best and brightest under the age of 40 each year. The recipients will be honored at an awards reception on November 25.

Tracy's legal practice focuses on intellectual property issues, environmental claims, contract disputes, fraud, and products liability matters in state and federal courts. She has also stood out for her commitment to pro bono legal work, taking on important and challenging cases for the good of the community.

Tracy is deeply committed to diversity, civic engagement and community development in her profession and across Northeast Ohio. As a Diversity Leadership Team Mentor for the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, Tracy works with schools and youth to build environments that promote respect, acceptance and inclusion. Tracy was selected for the Leadership Center’s Bridge Builders program, where she established herself as a committed young leader in the community. Tracy is a graduate of the Diversity Center’s LeadDIVERSITY class of 2008 that engaged regional leaders and the community to raise awareness of diversity issues.

She has also been a dedicated volunteer in the Cleveland Metro Bar Association’s 3R’s program, which connects the legal community with high school students in Cleveland and East Cleveland Schools. Tracy worked  to improve high school graduation rates and to help students set goals and plan for their future. Similarly, Tracy is active in Porter Wright’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and has helped lead initiatives within the firm to promote diversity and inclusion.

Tracy received her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law, summa cum laude, and her undergraduate degree from Xavier University, cum laude.
