Sunny Yang joins Pittsburgh office of Porter Wright
Porter Wright welcomed Yuanyou (Sunny) Yang to the firm's Pittsburgh office. Admitted to practice in both the U.S. and the People’s Republic of China, Sunny is a corporate attorney who focuses her practice on international business matters and trade. She represents Chinese entities doing business in the U.S., as well as U.S. entities pursing investments and operating in China.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin, Sunny strategically applies a multicultural skill set to help her clients successfully achieve their goals. She has experience negotiating and structuring business transactions, as well as advising corporate executives in matters such as planning for the purchase of U.S. property by non-U.S. persons, transferring and protecting assets and wealth, and strategizing business succession planning.
"Sunny brings a depth of knowledge and experience to our international practice and will work with clients on variety of their business needs ," said Tim Gallagher, partner in charge of the firm's Pittsburgh office. Sunny is active in several industry organizations, holding leadership roles in regional and national bar associations including serving as an officer for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania.
She earned a J.D. and LL.M. from Widener University School of Law in the state of Delaware, along with an LL.B. (Chinese J.D. equivalent) and LL.M. from Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China. She earned a B.A. from Sichuan International Studies University.
