Porter Wright welcomes Michalea Delaveris to Labor and Employment Department

Porter Wright is pleased to announce that Michalea Delaveris has joined the firm, bringing a wealth of experience in labor and employment law across private practice, in-house counsel and judicial settings.

Michalea counsels clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, advising both public and private sector employers on complex workplace issues. Her diverse background enables her to provide practical, well-rounded guidance tailored to each client’s needs.

Most recently, Michalea served as a law clerk to Chief District Judge Sarah D. Morrison and Magistrate Judge Chelsey M. Vascura, where she played an integral role in chambers operations and case adjudication. This experience further deepened her understanding of litigation and judicial decision-making in employment-related disputes.

In addition to her practice, Michalea has contributed to legal education as an adjunct lecturer at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she taught courses in Depositions and Employment Discrimination.

Her professional excellence has been recognized through her selection to the Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition. Michalea is also deeply engaged in the legal community, serving as a member of the U.S. Courts Administrative Office’s Local Solutions User Representative Community, a Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentor through the Supreme Court of Ohio and an ally member of the John Mercer Langston Bar Association.

“We are pleased to welcome Michalea to the firm,” said Bob Tannous, Managing Partner. “Her leadership within the broader legal community, together with the depth and quality of her practice, makes her an outstanding addition to our team.”
