Porter Wright adds Hirsch as third partner to growing Pittsburgh team

Porter Wright announces that David J. Hirsch has joined the firm as a partner in its Mergers & Acquisitions practice. David brings 30 years of experience in helping clients to grow and sell their businesses, and share their inventions and services with the marketplace.

“We are so pleased to welcome David as a partner to our corporate team,” said Ellen Freeman, partner-in-charge of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. “He brings decades of experience working in M&A and securities law, and helping entrepreneurs and emerging businesses to secure funding. His work greatly bolsters our depth and presence in Pittsburgh.”

David’s experience includes leading hundreds of mergers and acquisitions, acting as outside general counsel to numerous mid-size businesses and assisting mid-size public companies with securities law compliance and public offerings. He also represents clients regarding investments in private equity, hedge and venture capital funds. David works closely with emerging businesses and their stakeholders on angel rounds of funding through multiple series of venture capital funding.

David joins Porter Wright from Keevican Weiss Bauerle & Hirsch LLC in Pittsburgh. He is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. David received his law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law and his B.A. from University of Chicago.
