Porter Wright adds Gill to Pittsburgh Litigation Team

PITTSBURGH–Porter Wright is proud to announce that attorney Matthew Gill has joined the firm as Senior Associate in its litigation practice. Joining Porter Wright from the Washington D.C. office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, Gill’s practice includes complex civil litigation, corporate internal investigations, healthcare compliance and securities litigation. He has extensive experience both conducting internal False Claims Act investigations and defending clients in False Claims Act litigation.

Gill is committed to his pro bono practice. He has worked with Child Justice, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children’s rights, by authoring a successful amicus brief before the Maryland Court of Appeals and authoring and arguing a child custody appeal before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals

“We are thrilled to grow our litigation practice in Pittsburgh with Matthew’s arrival,” said Ellen Freeman, partner-in-charge of the Pittsburgh office. “His experience is impressive and he is an excellent addition to our team.”

After receiving his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010, Gill completed his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2013, where he served as senior editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law.
