Porter Wright adds Bowers as tax and employee benefits partner in Pittsburgh
Porter Wright is pleased to welcome Christine Boronyak Bowers as a partner in its downtown Pittsburgh office. Bowers joins the firm’s expanding team in Pittsburgh where she will focus her practice in domestic and international tax planning advice and employee benefit plan counseling.

Bowers’ advises clients on a wide variety of tax-planning issues from the formation and operation of corporations, pass-through entities and nonprofit organizations, to the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations. She also provides counsel on the design and administration of tax-qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, equity compensation plans, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), health and welfare plans, and cafeteria plans. Bowers also brings experience in client representation before the IRS and DOL.
Prior to joining Porter Wright, Christine practiced at large, national law firms in Pittsburgh, Pa. and Richmond, Va. She also served as a law clerk to the Hon. L. Paige Marvel of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C., and was an international tax manager at a Big Four accounting firm.
Bowers received a B.A., cum laude, from Boston University, a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and an L.L.M. from New York University School of Law.
