Lauren Konrai-Mori graduates from national Ladder Down program
Porter Wright is proud to announce Lauren Konrai-Mori, an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, has graduated from the prestigious national Ladder Down program, a year-long leadership and business development initiative designed to empower women attorneys to advance and lead within the legal profession.
Ladder Down’s mission is to equip professional women with the training, tools and coaching needed to reach their full career potential while inspiring them to mentor and support others.
“The program provides female lawyers with tools to succeed. It’s really about lifting up other women as they are going up the ladder,” said Konrai-Mori.
Konrai-Mori said once female attorneys “climb up the ladder,” the ladder is pushed back down affording others similar opportunities.
“It’s a good way to connect. It gives us the tools for business development and it’s an excellent way to empower other females,” she added.
Launched in 2012 by Beth Fitch, Ladder Down, brings the impactful program nationwide. Each year, a highly selective class of attorneys participates in the program through a virtual program or in select regional locations, receiving nearly 20 hours of coaching focused on leadership development, business development and mentoring. Participants also engage with accomplished legal professionals including law firm partners, in-house counsel and judges through panel discussions and networking events.
“Lauren’s graduation from Ladder Down reflects her dedication to professional growth and leadership. We are proud to support her continued success and recognize the value this program brings to our attorneys and clients,” said Tracey Turnbull, partner-in-charge of Porter Wright’s Cleveland market.
The national Ladder Down class is open to women attorneys across the country, including those in private practice, in-house roles and public service. The program accepts a limited number of participants each year, with applications opening in October.
