Bahhur appointed to International Trademark Association committee

Porter Wright would like to congratulate associate Noor Bahhur for her appointment to a competitive committee within the International Trademark Association (INTA). Noor was among 3,700 applicants for committee positions. Her two-year term begins on Jan. 1, 2020.

The Non-Traditional Marks Committee accomplishes the following:

Develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the balanced protection of nontraditional trademarks (e.g., sound, color, trade dress). The committee will monitor developments in treaties, cases, legislation and regulation in various jurisdictions, complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the Board. Work includes report and submission writing, and advocacy in conjunction with relevant INTA committees and staff.
