Grant practices in the areas of business, banking, securities and commercial law. He has considerable experience in the law and regulation of financial institutions. He has represented clients regarding business acquisitions, financial institution mergers and acquisitions, the issuance of public and private securities, equipment leasing, corporate reorganization and bankruptcy and technology matters. He has special interest in electronic payment systems. He also has represented de novo financial institutions and community banks, as well as regional and national banking organizations. He frequently writes and speaks on the data security and privacy concerns of financial institutions, including web access and data breach practices. He is regularly consulted on complex financing transactions by both lenders and borrowers, on joint ventures, on complex contract matters, and on regulatory developments affecting financial institutions, including for example, initiatives under Dodd-Frank.
