Overview

Taylor Reaves is an attorney in the Government & Regulatory Affairs Practice Group, focusing on public policy analysis and strategic advocacy.

Taylor brings several years of experience in Congress. Most recently, she served as counsel to U.S. Representative Troy Nehls, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, where she played a pivotal role in advancing his priorities on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration and Crime Subcommittees.

Taylor's legislative achievements include writing and introducing over two dozen pieces of legislation on critical issues such as immigration, homeland security, civil rights, crime, elections, foreign affairs, agriculture, tribal affairs, and more. She also drafted and led over two dozen letters to the various federal agencies, as well as authored op-eds in national publications on the member’s priorities.

Previously, Taylor served as a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik, acting as unofficial counsel on vaccine mandates, life issues, environmental regulations, and other legal matters. She also served as the lead staffer on judiciary and agriculture issues, introducing several bills involving immigration matters and specialty crops.

Her earlier experience includes her time in the United States Senate, where she served as a Legislative Assistant in the Office of U.S. Senator Mike Rounds. In this position, she led the judiciary and Senate Committee on Indian Affairs portfolios, as well as assisted the Senator with legal matters before the office.
