Porter Wright adds three new associates
Benjamin Cahn will work as part of the firm’s Real Estate and Banking & Finance teams. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Ben worked in the General Counsel’s office of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Additionally, Ben has significant experience working in the public sector. He served as a legal intern at the U.S. Small Business Administration and judicial extern for Judge Dan Aaron Polster in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Ben completed his law degree at The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law and his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, summa cum laude.
Casey McCullen is admitted only to practice in Maine and will work as part of the firm’s Real Estate and Banking & Finance teams. He focuses his practice in construction, permanent real estate financing and complex construction lending transactions involving multiple sources of financing. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Casey clerked for Justices Wayne Douglas and John O’Neil, Jr. of the Maine Superior Court. Before taking the Maine bar exam, Casey completed a post-graduate judicial internship with Judge Tim McCormack of the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District. Casey completed his law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, magna cum laude, and his undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College, cum laude.
Joseph Wheeler will work as a part of the firm’s Corporate Department, focusing his practice in health care, corporate & securities, and mergers & acquisitions. He has experience in health care, spanning supply chain contracting, hospital operations and physician employment issues. Prior to joining Porter Wright, he provided a range of legal services while in-house at OhioHealth. He was involved with the multi-million dollar acquisition of a government-owned hospital, as well as the acquisition of physician practices. Additionally, Joe served as a law clerk in the Health and Human Services Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Joseph completed his law degree at The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law, cum laude, and his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University.
