Top Cleveland litigator joins Porter Wright
Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP has announced that Jill Okun has joined Porter Wright’s Cleveland office as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Area. Her practice will focus on product liability and corporate litigation.

She is extremely talented and a highly respected member of Cleveland’s legal community,” said Hugh McKay, partner in charge of Porter Wright’s Cleveland office. “With her background and experience in product liability, commercial litigation, class actions and litigation management, she is a significant addition to the firm.”
Okun comes to Porter Wright from Squire Patton Boggs. She is a first-chair trial and appellate lawyer with extensive experience in product liability, commercial contracts, toxic torts, litigation management, class actions, criminal defense, and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO). Okun has successfully handled numerous trials and appeals in state and federal Courts, and participated in a multitude of arbitrations and mediations.
Okun received her law degree from Boston College, cum laude, and has a B.A. from Tufts University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
She served on the board of trustees of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) and is the chairperson of the CMBA’s Judicial Selection Committee. She is also a former chair and active member of the CMBA’s Certified Grievance Committee. She serves on the executive committee and is a member of the Judicial Candidate’s Rating Coalition and a Master Bencher in the John M. Manos American Inn of Court. She is a mentor for the Supreme Court’s “Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program,” and has been a presenter for the past three years in the American Bar Association's “Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Products Liability Conference.”
