    About GreenSpot
Mayor Michael B. Coleman launched GreenSpot in July 2008 as part of the Get Green Columbus initiative. It was developed to inspire, educate and recognize those in our community who are taking steps to get green. The Web-based program has nearly 1,200 members making an impact on the health and future of Columbus. Residences, businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, classrooms and community groups can become a GreenSpot by committing to environmentally-friendly choices in the areas of energy conservation, water conservation and waste reduction.

    About the GreenSpotLight Recognition
The GreenSpotLight recognizes one business that has gone beyond the basic requirements of the program in each category: small, medium and large. Members of the Green Team's Education and Outreach subcommittee reviewed each 2009 Annual Report submitted by GreenSpot businesses and selected those whose commitment to get green demonstrates excellence in business practices that produce environmental benefits.

    Businesses Receiving Recognition
Mayor Coleman will recognize these businesses and present them with a recycled glass plate during his welcome address to the Green Business Conference and Building Expo:

    Anshen + Allen (small)
Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP (medium)
    Limited Brands (large)
