Porter Wright Cincinnati Partners Recognized by The Best Lawyers in America®
Seventy-nine Porter Wright partners working in 30 different practice areas were recently selected by their peers for recognition in The Best Lawyers in America® 2009. David Croall was recognized in the area of Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Croall has represented employers across a range of industries for more than 25 years. His practice focuses on employment discrimination, wrongful discharge litigation, and preventive counseling/training. Mr. Croall has obtained summary judgment for numerous employers as well as favorable jury verdicts in cases that have gone to trial.
Ted Grosser was named a Best Lawyer in the areas of Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law. Mr. Grosser represents both private and public companies in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and a host of complex strategic transactions. As a significant part of his practice, he acts as primary legal counsel for a number of closely held enterprises in the construction, manufacturing and service industries.
Holly Kozlowski was Best Lawyer-ranked in the area of Intellectual Property Law. Her practice focuses on patent application preparation and prosecution, including reissue, reexamination, interference and term extension, and client counseling in patent validity, infringement and freedom-to-practice matters. She also has extensive experience with PCT and national foreign patent application filings and prosecution. Ms. Kozlowski's technical background is in chemical engineering.
Mark Longenecker was named to The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Corporate Governance and Compliance Law and Corporate Law. Mr. Longenecker represents public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, directors'/officers' duties, corporate/business law, and contracts. His experience includes initial public offerings, venture capital and private equity financing, private placements, investment advisory matters and representing growing companies in the consumer packaged goods, medical device and service markets. Mr. Longenecker — who has represented Cincinnati businesses for more than 25 years — helps companies meet their corporate governance and compliance obligations as well.
Jack Stith was recognized in the area of Corporate Law. Mr. Stith provides advice regarding general business and corporate law; business structure, organization, and governance; securities law; fiduciary responsibilities, indemnification, and insurance coverage of directors and officers; mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; capital formation, including venture/private equity transactions; and complex contract issues. He works with public companies and entrepreneurial businesses of all kinds, as well as with nonprofits. Mr. Stith has been listed in Best Lawyers since 1993.
Carolyn Taggart was Best Lawyer-ranked in the area of Product Liability Litigation. With more than 29 years of trial experience, Ms. Taggart defends product liability, legal malpractice, nursing home liability, and intentional tort claims and litigates complex commercial cases. She has extensive jury and bench trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts.
